Episode I : Awakening
It is above all a duty (to keep the stories, culture and values of the Amerindian alive). The respect for Mother Earth being one of the first and most important foundations of Amerindian culture.
Make known the values and keep in tune with nature and how it functions.
“Distancing men from nature makes his hearts become harder. It forgets to respect what is due: to what grows and what lives and leads to no longer respecting mankind.” – Georges E. Sioui
In reflecting upon the ecology and the harmonious integration of humans in the ecosystem.
“Indian Spirit” proposes to raise awareness of their ancestral values and traditions in order to help understand their way of life, to acknowledge a culture one must not only rely on heresy but should seek to understand and respect its values.
Today threats weigh heavily on humanity and all forms of life, all these elements that are part of the great circle of creation.
Respect for Mother Earth is one of the first and most important foundations of Amerindian culture.
Native Americans and nature have always been two inseparable terms.
Native American nations are recognized around the world as a symbol of respect for the environment, freedom, pride and integrity.
They are an emblem of a powerful mysticism and evocative of Mother Nature.
Before preparing the “ Indian Spirit”, we met with many Amerindian nations to present to them our project in order to seek their approbation and to show them that we had fully respected their values and their memories, to also show them that we had through Modernisation, of the arts, such as film, music, entertainment, records, books and comics, to pass on the philosophy of the “Indigenous people” “First Nations” as well as the richness of their teachings..never to be forgotten…
Wota, is a Native American of today and finds himself torn between two cultures and two teachings that overwhelm him with emotions.
He realizes that in order to move forward in his life he must let go of his fears, reassess his notions of good and bad and reconsider his mechanical beliefs and not necessarily beliefs acquired over time.
He then enters a phase of awakening and decides to feed his mind from the spirits of the ancient values… that of Mother Earth, the human race and all humanity badly need his help and the knowledge….that of his ancestors … the Amerindians.
The show “Indian Spirit Awakening” is based on Native American philosophy. It aims to raise awareness of the need and urgency to change mentalities.
At a time when our environment, our well-being and our future are seriously threatened.
Discover Native American values thanks to this daring exciting and captivating show which highlights the fact that the earth is everyone’s mother.
And you only have one.
Wota has always been determined to honor his Native American roots. Drawing on his experience as an artistic advisor for the musical Notre-Dame de Paris (3,500,000 spectators). Indian Spirit is now his mission, his pride and his new challenge.
The assimilation of the values of a culture begins in early childhood, certain values have been lost or have been altered over time.
Opening up to new values can enrich us and help us to live better in relation to “our nurturing mother” that is the Mother earth… the one that has always given us what we need to live.
The presentation and the values it conveys offer many avenues for educational and learnings.
Each school that attended the show receives access to the educational activity sheets. The latter can be used at all degrees of the fundamental education.
This show is for children and adults alike. It is played out so that they can, through Native American values move on the path of a more harmonious life, more respectful of the environment and relationships with all mankind.
